Aasu protest on ASEB tariff hike

Guwahati, Aug 03 (UNI) The All Assam Student Union (AASU) today demonstrated in front of the ASEB headquarters for the proposed tariff hike.

The AASU leadership accused the ASEB of not being able to provide better service but bringing in power hike.

The new raised hike will commence from August 8 and the rate is around 28 per cent hike.

Earlier, the Asom Gana Parishad also had opposed the price hike strongly.

The AASU will also hold a strike in front of the NEEPCO office, Shillong, tomorrow to protest irregular power supply to Asom.
