Undertrial dies of AIDS

Tiruchirapalli, Aug 2 (UNI) A 32-year-old undertrial lodged in the Central Prison here died of AIDS at the Government Headquarters Hospital today.

Police said Sekhar of Thanjavur District was arrested in connection with a murder case in 1995.

He was lodged in the Central Prison here for trial. He fell ill and tested HIV Positive. The end came this morning.
