Timex aims Rs 200 cr business by 2008
Kolkata, Aug 02 (UNI) Timex Watches Ltd is targetting Rs 200 crore business by 2008, its senior vice-president (marketing and sales) Salil Sadanandan said today.
The US based company is also setting up its second unit at Himachal Pradesh with Rs seven crore investment to meet the growing demand for its watches, he said on sidelines of inauguration of a showroom here.
"We are planning to take the number of retail showrooms to 50 from 25 at present," Sadanandan said.
Timex, which clocked close to Rs 100 crore business last fiscal, has a capacity of 1.5 million units at its Purwano (Himachal Pradesh) plant.
The capacity would be hiked to three million units with the setting up of the new unit.
The company is looking at export markets in the SAARC region and planning to launch new brands "Ceruti" and "Nautica" in the Indian market.
