Tata group in top 20 list of MAKE study
New Delhi, Aug 2 (UNI) Tata Group, India's leading private sector conglomerate has been included into the list of the 20 top winners from the 49 finalists of 9th annual Global Most Admired Knowledge Enterprises (MAKE) study.
The group is one of the six Asian international corporate giants MAKE 2006 study winners. Toyota Motor Corporation leads the list as the overall winner in this study.
''This award is a matter of great satisfaction for the Tata Group. Innovation and speed have become the key differentiators in the market place and improvements in knowledge management processes in our companies is key to their being innovative and nimble footed,'' Tata Sons Chairman Ratan Tata said.
Evaluated by a panel of Global Fortune 500 senior executives, internationally recognised knowledge management and intellectual capital experts, the Tata Group along with the other winners was rated against eight key knowledge performance dimensions, which are the visible drivers of competitive advantage and intellectual capital growth.
Other companies which featured in the top 20 list include international giants like Accenture, Apple Computer, BHP Billiton, Buckman Laboratories, Dell, Ernst &Young, Fluor, Google, Hewlett-Packard and Honda Motor.
