Supriya Sule appointed NCP National Council member

Mumbai, Aug 2 (UNI) Ms Supriya Sule, daughter of NCP president and Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar, has been appointed as an NCP National Council member.

The announcement of the jumbo 94-member National Council, 14 vice presidents, 14 general secretaries, 13 secretaries of the NCP Maharashtra unit, an 88-member State Executive, and the State Parliamentary Board was made by NCP State unit president Arun Gujarathi here today.

Former Shiv Sena leader Satish Pradhan, who quit the party to join NCP, has been made one of the 14 party vice presidents. Dr Ramesh Prabhoo, another estranged Shiv Sena heavyweight, has been made member of the State Executive.

The State Parliamentary Board comprises Arun Gujarathi, Deputy Chief MInister R R Patil, Union Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel, Union Minister of State for Rural Development Suryakanta Patil, State PWD Minister Chhagan Bhujbal, Dr Padamsinh Patil, Madhukar Pichad, Tourism Minister Vijaysinh Mohite Patil, Water Resources Minister Ajit Pawar and Gurunath Kulkarni.
