Sony India unveils Alpha 100 D-SLR camera
Mumbai, Aug 2: Sony India today unveiled its first digital single lens reflex (D-SLR) camera - Alpha 100, under the Alpha brand.
The Alpha 100 combines advanced SLR features with technologies that broaden a user's creative possibilities, while assuring superior results for its audience of amateurs and families.
Announcing the India launch of Alpha 100 camera series, company's general manager (sales and marketing) Mohit Parashar said, ''It is our constant endeavour to provide the best imaging technology to all our customers and the launch of D-SLR series is a step in that direction. Entering the SLR camera market entails a long term commitment to customers to build upon our strong imaging technologies and design capabilities.'' On the Alpha 100 model, Sony's group head (digital imaging) Ken Nakazawa said, ''The Alpha provides almost everything that most photographers will ever need in a camera (digital or otherwise) whilst delivering fantastic ease of use and very impressive image quality. The Alpha is incredibly versatile with more advanced features and design than other D-SLR cameras in its price range.'' The model has a super steadyshot anti-shake function built into the camera's body that prevents blurry pictures caused by inevitable hand and body movements. There is also an anti-dust protection system that protects the CCD and keeps spots and streaks off the system.
The Alpha series will be available at select Sony stores across the country at prices, such as - DSLR- A100 for Rs 54,990, DSLR-A100K for Rs 64,990 and DSLR-A100W for Rs 74,990.
