Six injured in militant attack at Poonch
Jammu, Aug 2 (UNI) Six people were injured in a militant attack at Surankote bus stand, from where the Buddha Amarnath pilgrims were expected to leave, in the border district of Poonch this evening, police sources said.
Sources said unknown militants hurled a grenade towards the bus stand. When the grenade exploded, the Buddha Amarnath pilgrims were very close to Surankote.
The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital. Further details are awaited.
The Bajrang Dal convenor Prakash Sharma condemned the incident and demanded that the pilgrims be provided with adequate security.
