Select metal prices declines on poor industrial demand
Mumbai, Aug 2 (UNI) Select metal prices declined on poor industrial demand, according to traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange (BME) today.
In ferrous section : brass utensils and aluminium utensils eased by Rs 299 and Rs 50 per quintal on lack of fresh demand.
In non-ferrous section : copper wire bars and aluminium ingots drifted lower by Rs 100 each per quintal while lead ingots fell by Rs 50 per quintal on sustained heavy selling pressure.
Tin slab and nickel cathode rose by Re one and Rs 15 per kg on reduced stock supply.
Following were the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: Copper heavy - Rs 38,000, Copper utensils - Rs 33,000, Brass utensils - Rs 22,500, Brass cuttings - Rs 26,000, Aluminium utensils - Rs 10,800.
Non-ferrous metals: Copper wire bars - Rs 41,700, Aluminium ingots - Rs 13,000, Zinc slab - Rs 18,700, Lead ingots - Rs 6,200, Tin slab - Rs 486 (per kg), Nickel cathode - Rs 1,345 (per kg).
