Rupee weak by eleven paise closes at Rs 46.70/USD

Mumbai, Aug 2 (UNI) The Indian Rupee today grew weak by eleven paise to close at Rs. 46.70 per US Dollar compared to the previous close of Rs. 46.59 per US Dollar, sources said.

The rupee earlier opened at Rs 46.50/52 per US Dollar and in the mid morning session traded at 46.55/56/US Dollar.

RBI today fixed the Reference Rate at Rs 46.56/US Dollar compared to the previous rate of 46.65 per US Dollar.

The six month forward premia was down at 1.04 per cent and the one year forward premia was also down at 1.15 per cent.

Rupee was down against other currencies also. Against the Euro it was down at Rs. 59.76 ( 59.37), against Pound Sterling it was down at Rs. 87.61(86.75) and against the Yen it was down at Rs.

40.72 (40.55).
