Rupee opens strong by nine paise at Rs 46.50/52/USD

Mumbai, Aug 02 (UNI) Indian currency today opened strong by nine paise at Rs 46.50/52 per US Dollar compared to the previous close of Rs 46.59 per US Dollar, a trader in the money market said.

In the mid morning trade, rupee was trading at Rs 46.55/56 per US Dollar.

Similarly, the stock market opened in the red though recovered from the lower level and is currently trading at 10,772.58 points up 20 points from the previous close.
