Rajiv Gandhi statue disfigured in AP

Hyderabad, Aug 2 (UNI) Former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi's statue was disfigured on the city outskirts near Nizampet today.

Police said the statue of former Prime Minister, which was in front of Nizampet gram panchayat office in Qutbullapur mandal, was found disfigured.

The local Congress leaders lodged a complaint with the police, alleging the vested interests, unable to bear the victory of Congress candidate in gram panchayat elections, had indulged in this dastardly act..

A case haD been instituted and an investigation was, underway, police added UNI ASJ LS KN2035
