Poachers held, arms and ammunition seized

Coimbatore, Aug 2 (UNI) The State Q Branch Police today arrested three persons and seized rifles, explosive powder and tusks from them.

Police sources said Chinna Paiyan and Raman were arrested at Emeralad Area, about 15 km from Ooty. They seized two tusks, one kg of deer meat, a .303 rifle and 40 bullets.

Based on the information given by them, they arrested Nagaraj here and seized five .303 rifles, three pistols, a bullet, search lights, knife and sickle, two kg of explosive powder and a deer and a tiger skin from him.
