PETA finds a supporter in World's Youngest CEO

Bangalore, Aug 2 (UNI) When men of his age are idling in theatres, shopping malls, restaurants and other entertainment spots, 19-year-old Suhas Gopinath, who heads a multinational company, is fighting for a noble cause--protection of animals.

He feels it is the bounden duty of humans to protect animals, many of which are on the path to extinction.

In an interview to PetaDishoom.Com-PETA India's youth arm, which gave youngsters a fun foundation to help 'dishoom' (fight) animal abuse, Mr Gopinath, CEO of Global Inc, said ''As humans, we need to have some morality and ethics to give back to the creatures who are exploited for our comforts and needs.

''We need to utilise our intelligence and resources in protecting animals, instead of applying the same intelligence to destruct them,'' the child prodigy said.

Strongly advocating vegetarianism, Mr Gopinath said a vegetarian diet is low in fat and high in fibre which is essential for a healthier and longer life. Animals used for their meat are killed brutally, he pointed out.

He said ''I feel very upset when people make business out of skins and bones of animals by trading them illegally. The Government needs to take severe action on such traders and also those who buy such products,'' he added.

Stressing the need for youth to take the lead in creating awarness for protecting animals, he said ''Youth can play a major role and be instrumental in creating awareness about animal rights.

When it comes to younger generation, action speaks before words,'' he added.
