PAM protests serial bomb blasts in Mumbai

Chennai, Aug 2 (UNI) Members of the People Awareness Movement (PAM) led by their Founder-President H M Mustafa staged a demonstration here today, shouting slogans and condemning the recent serial bomb blast in Mumbai which claimed 184 lives.

In a statement, Mr Mustafa said the demonstration was also to urge the Central and Maharashtra State Governments to book the culprits behind the bomb blasts and punish them severely and to urge the Union Government to take suitable steps for stopping the ongoing attack against Lebanon by Israel.

He said the demonstrators also urged the Centre and State Governments should double check before declaring a suspected person as extremist. The Governments should arrange suitable job opportunities for the unemployed youths and thus prevent them from falling in the trap of extremists and other anti-social activities, he added.
