Man gets 7-yr RI for raping minor daughter

New Delhi, Aug 2 (UNI) A city court today sentenced a 40 year-old-man to seven years imprisonment for raping his minor daughter in Mehrauli area in South Delhi last year.

Patiala House Court Additional Sessions Judge (ASJ) Vinod Kumar held Ishwar Chand guilty of raping his 10-year-old daughter and sentenced him to seven years imprisonment.

In September last year, the accused raped his daughter while she was alone at home. When the girl's mother came to know about it, she lodged a complaint.

Ishwar Chnad was convicted under section 376 (Rape) of the Indian Penal Code.
