Man drowns in Panchaganga flood water in Kolhapur

Kolhapur, Aug 2: A 55-year-old man was allegedly swept away in the Panchaganga river flood water near Kasaba-Bavada suburb here, police said today.

According to police, the deceased, identified as Vilas Dyanba Barge of Kasaba-Bavada, had gone to his field for cutting grass.

While crossing the flood water he fell into it last evening.

People from nearby areas took him out of the water and rushed to the civil hospital here where he was declared dead on admmision last night, police added.
