The meeting was chaired by Chief Secretary Dr D K Shankaran at Mantralaya here.

The meeting assumes significance in the wake of IB inputs that nuclear installations in the country are under threat.

Dr Shankaran said the meeting was held to discuss the security arrangements at BARC and take appropriate steps. He refused to divulge details.

BARC will celebrate the golden jubilee of 'Apsara,' the first Indian nuclear reactor on Friday.
