Law and order situation deteriorating in MP: BJ

Bhopal, Aug 2: Alleging that criminals were being instigated by politicians in Madhya Pradesh, the Bharatiya Janashakti party General Secretary Prahlad Patel staged a 100-hour-long sit-in at Chhatarpur district's Bijawar in protest against the deteriorating law and order situation in the state.

''In support of Mr Patel's endeavour, BJ leaders and workers staged dharna today at Bhopal and 24 other districts,'' state BJ president Raghunandan Sharma told reporters here.

He alleged that the law and order situation rapidly deteriorated as ruling BJP leaders were instigating anti-social elements. They also submitted a memrandum to Governor Balram Jakhar this afternoon.
