JVM worker shot dead

Jamshedpur, Aug 2 (UNI) A Jharkhand Vikash Morcha (JVM) worker and close associate of JVM leader Banna Gupta was shot dead by some gunmen here at Kadama area last night.

Police today said Nand Kumar alias Nandu had an altercation with some people in the evening and later he was gunned down by the miscreants in front of a temple.

He received three bullet injuries on his neck and chest and died on the spot.

Police said the deceased was a bank employee and actively work with Mr Gupta. Professional rivalry might be reason behind the murder, police said and added the cultprits were identifed and a manhunt was launched to nab them.

The body was sent for post mortem today, police said.
