Fake cement racket cracked, 8 held

Kancheepuram, Aug 2 (UNI) Police today bust a fake cement racket and arrested eight persons in this connection.

Following a tip off, police raided an isolated house in Valarpuram, near Sriperumbudur of this district in the early hours and seized 50 bags of fake cement along with 100 bags of powder used for making them.

The seizure also included 100 bags of original cement, they added.
