Fabrics, Accessories Trade Show in B'lore from Aug 6

Bangalore, Aug 2 (UNI) The third edition of the Fabrics and Accessories Trade Show, the country's premier sourcing event for Fabrics, Trimmings, Embellishments and Services, will be held in the city for three days from August six.

Addressing newspersons here, event organiser, S S Media and Marketing CEO P Krishna Murthy said promoted in all the important world markets to attract high quality buyers, the Show had become the most important meeting point for suppliers and buyers of fabrics, trimmings and embellishments in South Asia.

He said the Show was the only sourcing platform in Bangalore which was the country's most important garment manufacturing centre and gateway to entire South India.

Mr Murthy said the event, to be held at the Trade Centre of the Karnataka Trade Promotion Organisation, would attract top-notch visitors, including buying houses, agents, garment exporters, domestic brands, fashion designers, wholesale distributors and importers.

He said over 100 companies were expected to display the latest in apparels, suitings, shirtings, denims, polar fleecer, single jersy, lace fabrics, terry fabrics, embroidered fabrics, warp knitted silk, including imports from USA, Korea, Hong Kong, China, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Mr Murthy said Bangalore was chosen to host the show as is was emerging a major hub for garment manufacturing, both for exports as well as domestic brands and in view of its proximity to other manufacturing centres in the South like Tirupur, Salem, Erode, Chennai and Coimbatore.

He said large and medium exhibitors from the organised mill sector as well as the de-centralised powerloom industry would showcase their products at the show, making it an unique event. The Show was expected to attract more than 3500 serious buyers, he added The Show would also showcase a Theme Pavillion that would focus on trends for Fall/Winter 2007-08 to provide both exhibitors and visitors a glimpse of the colours, textures, weaves and accessories that would be important for the season.
