DUSU elections on Sept 8; Aug 25 last date for filing nominations

New Delhi, Aug 2 (UNI) Professor Gurmeet Singh of the Department of Chemistry has been appointed the Chief Election Officer for the Delhi University Students' Union elections for 2006-07 session.

While the last date for receipt of nomination papers for the September 8 elections is August 25, the last date for withdrawal is August 28, according to a Delhi University release.

The date, time and venue for counting of votes of the elections to be held for the office bearers and members of the Central Council of DUSU would be announced later.
