CRPF providing training to 43 Lankan police officials

Coimbatore, Aug 2: The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Training College II(two) at Kurudampalayam in the outskirts of the city was providing two-week training to 43 Sri Lankan police personnel on public order and maintenance.

The College sources told UNI here today that as per the Union Home Ministry order, the CRPF was giving training to the policepersons, including four officers, inspectors and sub-inspectors.

They will be given theoretical training, including lectures, to manage crowd during riots. Practical training was ruled out.

The training will be entirely different from the normal training given to CRPF jawans, who will also be taught on handling bombs and so on, the sources added.
