Crackdown on SIMI nets 3
Jabalpur, Aug 2 (UNI) With the arrest of three members of the banned SIMI in this division's Seoni district today, the number of SIMI activists apprehended in Madhya Pradesh since the 7/11 Mumbai transit terror assault went up to 14.
Police said Idris, Imran and Shahzad alias Bablu were apprehended at Seoni's Jinnah Chowk by a team led by Seoni SHO J S Bisen.
Communally-sensitive SIMI literature, 'Tehrik', 'Movement' magazines and weapons were seized. Interrogation was in progress.
SIMI member Imran Ansari was earlier apprehended in Bhopal.
Particulars revealed by him led to the arrest of nine SIMI activists at the local Gohalpur area on July 30.
