Kochi, Aug 2 (UNI) The CBI today filed a petition before the Kerala High Court seeking more time to complete the investigation in the SSLC question paper leakage case.

In the petition filed by the CBI SP, Kochi, a further time of three months was sought to complete the investigation.

Alongwith the petition, CBI Inspector P K Einstein submitted an affidavit also, stating that though the printing contract of the SSLC question paper in March 2005 was granted to M/s Viswanathan Printers at Chetpet in Chennai, it had another works section at Ayyavu Colony in Chennai which is situated at a faraway place.

It was also found that the question papers printed therein remained unsealed for periods ranging from two to 16 days before they were shifted to the packing section.

The CBI also submitted that replies of the accused persons during interrogation were inconsistent and contradictory.

They had not made full disclosure of the facts known to them and were deliberately suppressing materials within their knowledge.

Hence, action for conducting scientific tests on them has been initiated.
