Cabinet committee on appointments approves high level appointments

New Delhi, Aug 2 (UNI) The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointments of Ms Anita Das,IAS (MP:72) as Secretary, Department of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy (AYUSH), Ministry of Health&Family Welfare.

She has been appointed in place of Mr Vijay Singh, an official release said here today.

Mr Ravi Dhingra, IAS (HP:72), presently Adviser, Inter State Council Secretariat, Ministry of Home Affairs, has been appointed as Secretary, National Commission of Minorities in place of Ms Deepa Jain Singh.

Mr R K Bhargava, IAS (MH:72), Additional Secretary, Department of Justice, Ministry of Law&Justice, has been appointed as the Secretary General, National Human Rights Commission.

The order of appointment of Mr DC Samant, IAS (RJ:72)as Secretary General, National Human Rights Commission stands cancelled, the cabinet committee decided.

Ms Sushma Singh, IAS (JH:72), presently Additional Secretary, Ministry of Water Resources, has been appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region.

Mr Chandra Pal, IAS (UP:72), Adviser, Planning Commission has been appointed as Principal Adviser, Planning Commission by temporarily upgrading the post held by him for a period of three months or until further orders.

Further, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has decided that Mr Satya Narayan Dash, IAS (KL:73), presently member (Finance) National Highawys Authority of India, Department of Road Transport&Highways (Ministry of Shipping, Road Transport&highways) to hold the additional charge of Chairman, National Highways Authority of India, with immediate effect for a period of three months or until further orders, whichever is earlier UNI AJ PA KP1429
