Brother stabs brother to death

Imphal, Aug 2 (UNI) A man stabbed his younger brother to death at Chingmeirong Lei-Ingkhol, Imphal yesterday.

Police identified the deceased as Jiten of Assam and the assailant as Amarjit. Amarjit was a driver and spent most of his time in Manipur.

Jiten came to Manipur to meet his brother and when they met Jiten then in a drunken fit assaulted his brother. Amarjit in a fit of rage stabbed his brother below the left shoulder.

On realising his mistake, a shocked Amarjit brought Jiten to RIMS Hospital. None knew who attacked Jiten until Amarjit broke down and revealed everything.

Lamphel police has registered a case in this regard.
