BJP instigating criminals in MP: BJ
Bhopal, Aug 2 (UNI) Alleging that criminals were being instigated by politicians in Madhya Pradesh, the Bharatiya Janashakti (BJ) today said party General Secretary and former Union Minister Prahlad Patel was staging a 100-hour-long sit-in at Chhatarpur district's Bijawar in protest against one such case.
''In support of Mr Patel's endeavour, BJ leaders and workers staged 'dharna' today at Bhopal and 24 other districts,'' state BJ President Raghunandan Sharma told reporters here.
He alleged the law and order situation rapidly deteriorated as ruling BJP leaders were instigating anti-social elements. The BJ even submitted a memorandum to Governor Balram Jakhar this afternoon.
''Bijawar town panchayat President Chhitelal Vishwakarma initiated road laying on land belonging to Bijawar tehsil's Rampyari Sahu despite a court stay. Ms Sahu threatened to commit suicide and eventually consumed sulphar pills leading to her demise. The police is yet to file a FIR,'' Mr Sharma added.
