Basumatary appointed new AG of Asom

Guwahati, Aug 2 (UNI) Mr Pinuel Basumatary assumed duty as the Accountant General (A&E) of Asom yesterday.

A 1983 batch IAAS officer, he took over from Mr Bhajan Singh, who had been transferred to New Delhi.

Mr Basumatary served as Member (Finance), ASEB, prior to this assignment.

Earlier, he had worked as Director in the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, New Delhi.
