Bajaj Auto motorcycles sale for July rises

Mumbai, Aug 2 (UNI) Bajaj Auto has recorded a healthy growth of 49 per cent in motorcycle sales in July 2006 at 171,115 units as against 115,216 units in the same month last year.

Its total two-wheeler sales during the month increased by 37 per cent to 173,158 units as compared with 126,821 units in the same period last year, a Company press release here said.

Three-wheeler sales during the month also improved by 18 per cent to 26,663 units as against 22,585 units in the same month last year.

Total exports during the month jumped by 189 per cent to 42,476 units as against 14,698 units.

Cumulative motorcycle sales for the April-July period jumped by 37 per cent to 739,302 units as against 537,759 units in the corresponding period last year.

Total two-wheeler sales during the period under review increased by 30 per cent to 751,779 units as against 578,482 units in the corresponding period a year ago.

The cumulative three-wheeler sales increased by 29 per cent to 97,538 units as against 75,896 units in the corresponding period last year.
