Varsity faculty wins awards

Kannur, Aug 1 (UNI) Dr B Anantha Bhanu, Mr G Anilkumar and C P V Vijaykaumar have been selected for Dr P K Rajan Memorial Excellence Award, instituted by the Kannur University for its outstanding faculty members.

Announcing the award University Vice-Chancellor P Chandramohan said the three-member judging committee comprising former Chief Secretary T N Jayachandran, former Kerala University Vice-Chancellor B Iqubal and Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute of Medical Sciences Director K Mohandas selected the winners from 17 nominations received by the University.

While Dr Anantha Bhanu is working in the Anthropology Department, Palayad Centre at Thalassery, Mr G Anilkumar and C P V Vijayakumar were working as Reader in Zoology Department in S N Collge, Kannur and Reader as Hindu Department in Payyannur College, Payyannur respectively, he added.
