Uma open for alliance for UP elections
Jalandhar, Aug 1: Bharatiya Janshakti Party president Uma Bharti said her party is open for alliance in the next assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh but it would not compromise on its stand on Ayodhya's Ram Mandir and reservation issue.
Talking to reporters here yesterday Ms Bharti said her party is a force in UP and that the state had been centre of her activities (karma bhoomi) for long, therefore the party would contest the next assembly elections.
She said her party is open for an alliance with other parties but without compromising over issues of Ayodhya and reservation.
Ms Bharti said a decision on poll alliance would be taken in the next three months.
However, apparently ruling out the possibility of alliance with ruling Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh.
