Tulsi Samman for Pandit Satya Narayan Sharma

Jabalpur, Agu 1 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Khadi Gramodyog Board Chairman and poet Pandit Satya Narayan Sharma has been honoured with prestigious 'Tulsi Samman' award in recognition of his contribution to literature and poetry.

Vidhan Sabha Speaker Ishwardas Rohani gave away the award to Mr Sharma at 'Tulsi Jayanti and Samman Samaroh' organised by the Mahakaushal Sahitya evam Sanskriti Parishad here on sunday.

Mr Rohani also gave the 'Tulsi Samman' awards to painters Devandra Singh and Drishti Bhatt besides Dr Sudhir Agrawal for his contribution to social services. The programme was chaired by Rani Durgawati University Registrar Vijay Kumar Sharma.

Descrbing Mr Sharma as extremely talented and versatile personality, Mr Rohani said the poet was filled with creative energy and had the power to enthrall his audiences. Goddess Saraswati resided at his lips and he had worked in politics with full honesty.
