Telecom officer convicted
Visakhapatnam, Aug 1 (UNI) Special Judge for CBI cases today convicted a telecom officer to one year simple imprisonment on charges of bribery.
Superintendent of Police (CBI) A Sai Manohar said M Chandra Rao, a junior Telecom officer at Pamarru Telephone Exchange in Krishna district, was caught red handed when he demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs 500 from the complainant to favour new telephone connection.
Judge Bhaskara Rao also slapped a fine of Rs 200 on the accused.
