Sonepat: Bus carrying 41 children falls into canal

Sonepat, Aug 1: A bus carrying 41 children fell into a bus in canal near Avlana village in Sonepat in Haryana.

At least 6 bodies have been recovered so far. One is criticall injured and has been take to a hospital in Sonepat. 38 children are believed to have suffered minor injuries. The children belonged to a school called Geeta Vidya Mandir in village Dat-khumbha in Sonepat. The school bus had picked up the children from home and was on its way to school.

Crane has been ordered to lift the bus from the canal. Water flowing into the canal has been controlled to help rescue operations..
