Rupee opens weak by 3 paise at Rs 46.59/61 USD

Mumbai, Aug 1: The rupee today opened weak by three paise at Rs 46.59/61 per US dollar as compared to the previous close of Rs 46.56 per USD, a trader in the money market said.

In the mid-morning trade, the domestic currency was trading at Rs 46.66/67 per USD.

Similarly, the stock market opened in the red on global weakness and is currently trading at 10,664.28 points down by 79 points from the previous close.
