REI Agro posts 35 pc growth in Q1 FY07

New Delhi, Aug 1 (UNI) REI Agro today reported 35 per cent growth in its net profit at Rs 25.90 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2006, as compared to Rs 19.20 crore for the corresponding quarter last year.

The company's income from operations rose from Rs 235.3 crore for Q1 FY07 as against Rs 301.31 crore for Q1 FY06.

The Earnings Per Share (EPS) for the quarter was at Rs 4.86.

The Basmati rice processing and marketing company holds nearly 20 per cent of the market share worldwide.

It sells its products in the domestic market under brands like Mr Miller, Kasauti, Real Magic, Hungama and Hansraj.
