Rain fury lessens down in Saurashtra region
Rajkot, Aug 1 (UNI) Rains have subsided in the last 24 hours in the state leading to some improvement in the rain-affected areas of Rajkot, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar and Jamnagar districts.
However, the met department forecast heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours.
As many as 18 dams located in Rajkot, Jamnagar, Surendranagar and Amreli districts are overflowing. However, the influx of water is slowing down in lakes because of rainfall decreasing in catchment areas, irrigation flood control room said.
Meanwhile, there was no significant rainfall reported from any part of the Saurashtra region in the last 24 hours, sources added.
