OmniTouch announces CIAC scholarships
New Delhi, Aug 1 (UNI) Singapore-based BPO consultant and trainer OmniTouch has announced scholarships for senior professionals for its Call Centre Industry Advisory Council (CIAC) Certification programme.
Twelve candidates will be selected for the first scholarships aimed at improving skills of professionals, said Mr Mahesh Punia, Director South Asia of OmniTouch.
The programme will cover fully paid training and certification expenses for up to Rs 14.5 lakh to sponsor the candidates in CIAC Certification designations like Strategic Leader, Operations Manager, Management Consultant and Management Apprentice.
Omnitouch, which provides integrated training, research and consulting solutions for contact centre and customer service industry, said the aspiring professionals would be selected through a screening and short listing process by a panel of industry experts.
The selected individuals will undergo training in four modules --Operations Management, Customer Relationship Management, People Management and Leadership and Business Management.
The selection panel comprises of Alok Jetely, Director, Dell International Services, Umesh Vyas, Vice-President, Genpact, Mallikarjuna Rao, Asst Vice-President, Service Delivery, Ideal Cellular Limited and Mr Punia of OmniTouch.
The registration process for the scholarship programme starts today.

''It is a way of recognising talent and rewarding them with the best tool towards further success.'' CIAC, the global standards and certifying board for the contact and support centre profession, was set up to provide an industry sanctioned, standardised process for assessing the competence of people who work in contact and support centres.
