Nilotpal fires broadside at UPA
Indore, Aug 1 (UNI) Alleging that the UPA's greatest failure was the suicides by ryots coupled with a crisis in the agricultural sector, CPM Central Committee member Nilotpal Basu today said his party would launch a ten-point countrywide campaign on these and other issues.
''Farming problems, labourers' and women's rights, making education a fundamental right, protest against communalism and terrorism, spiralling costs and other issues will be taken up at 115 places across India this month. The erstwhile NDA's policies are to blame,'' he told reporters here.
Admitting that differences existed over 19 subjects within the UPA regime, Mr Basu added that, from time to time, his party made the government aware of its opinions.
''The government will be cautioned whenever there is a digression from the CMP,'' he added.
