Nagaland Assembly from Aug 22

Kohima, Aug 1: Nagaland Governor Shyamal Datta, has summoned the 12th session of Nagaland Legislative Assembly from August 22.

According to Nagaland Assembly Secretariat sources, the Parliamentary Committee of the house is preparing the detailed schedule of the session.

This monsoon session is likely to be stormy due to law and order problem in the state and the opposition Congress preparing strategy to corner the ruling Democratic Alliance of Nagaland (DAN).

Union Minister of State for Programme Implementation Oscar Fernandes during his recent visit said the inter-factional clashes between the underground factions is a law and order problem of the state and the central forces are here to assist the state government.

Mr Fernandes was reacting on the stand of the state government that inter-factional clashes are not controllable because the centre had failed to bring solution to the Naga political problem.
