Information commission to be constituted soon : Nitish

Patna, Aug 1 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today announced that the state government would soon constitute Information Commission, the formalities for which has already been completed.

After releasing 'Bihar Samachar', a monthly magazine published by state public relation department in three languages-- Hindi, Urdu and English, the Chief Minister said consultations for formation of the information commission were on and final decision would be taken soon.

He said that arrangements had already been made in various departments to provide any information to the people as and when demanded.

Mr Kumar directed the public relations department to incorporate all information in the magazine about different welfare schemes being implemented in the state. He stressed that the magazine should have useful information about the developmental schemes so that common people benefit from it.

The magazine should be a source of information and not merely a publicity document of the state government, he added.
