Governor, Chief Minister offer Urs Chadar

Ajmer, Aug 1 (UNI) The holy 'chadar' and devotional flowers were offered on the tomb of the famous Sufi saint Khawaja Moinuddin Hasan Chisti at Ajmer on behalf of the Rajasthan governor Pratibha Patil and Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje today on the 794th annual Urs of 'Gareeb Nawaj'.

In a message, the Governor exhorted the people to imbibe the spirit of seeing the image of god in the poor, orphan and the down trodden as shown by the holy saint. She said the Khawaj Sahab has showed a direction to society by propagating brotherhood and faternity.

Irrigation Minister Sabarmal Jat and Transport Minister Yunus Khan offered the 'chadar' on behalf of the Chief Minister today. The Chief Minister prayed for prosperity and communal amity in the state on the occasion.
