Garden Silk Q1 net up 265 pc
Mumbai, Aug 1: One of India's leading textile manufacturers, Garden Silk Mills, has witnessed a growth of 265.3 per cent in its net profit for quarter ended June 30, 2006, to Rs. 7.70 crore compared to Rs. 2.11 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
Announcing the results here today, the company said its total income has increased to Rs 288.62 crore for the present quarter, compared to its Rs 149.51 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. The net sales too stand at Rs 288.15 crore compared to it's Rs 146.83 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, they added.
Garden Silk Mills, belongs to the Garden Vareli Group, which pioneered the manufacture of synthetic textiles in the country.
