Army begins training cops in Bihar
Patna, Aug 1 (UNI) A contingent of 100 select jawans drawn from Bihar Police is currently undergoing training at Bihar Regimental Centre(BRC) with a view to upgrading their skill to meet the challenges of extremists.
Sources in the police headquarters said here today that during the training, cops would be imparted training on jungle warfare and guerilla attack, besides carrying out raids in darkness.
The duration of the training would be six months and the participants have been picked up from 18 extremists affected districts.
Deputy Commandant of BRC Col O P Yadav formally inaugurated the training programme for the first batch of policemen on Monday last at Danapur cantonment.
