Andhra University awarded prestigious ACU

Visakhapatnam, Agu 1: For the first time in the history of Indian Universities, Andhra University has been awarded the prestigious Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) Public Relations(PR), Marketing and Communications award for the year 2005- 06 in recognition of the best PR practices.

A release said here the ACU Secretary General Dr J S Rowett presented the award to C Ramakrishna, press relation officer in the university, during the International Conference of the ACU held in Toronto, recently.

Dr Ramakrishna, who returned to India after attending the Conference, handed over the award to Andhra University Vice Chancellor L Venugopal Reddy in the presence of Dr Clinton Bristow, President of the Alcorn State University, USA, in a function here yesterday.
