Two Cops, SPO, Civilian held for terrorist link in Doda

Jammu, July 31 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir police has arrested four persons including two constables and one special police officer (SPO) in Doda district last late night for their alleged militant connection, Doda SSP Manohar Singh said today.

Talking to UNI SSP said a head constable Nissar Ahmed and Constable Mohammad Ashiqui, SPO Mohammad Yusuf and a civilian Mahammad Yasseen have taken into police custody when they were trying to supply weapons to militants.

Police has arrested them with two AK 56 rifles, two AK magazines, seven rounds and one grenade. All four were produced in court which when the sent them in police custody for 14 days.

Mr Singh further said, a special team of senior police official has started to intterogate them and they confessed their militant link. The interrogation is still going on.

It may be mentioned that earlier two policemen Sikander and Kabir, both residents of Gursai in Poonch district have arrested for their militant links. Later three Armymen, hailing from Gursai village in Poonch district, were also arrested further alleged link with Lashkar-e-Toiba.
