SpiceJet gets 2 more planes, expands network
New Delhi, July 31: With induction of two new new-generation Boeing 737-800 aircraft to its fleet of six, SpiceJet today announced the consolidation and expansion plan of its existing network.
SpiceJet will launch five new sectors (Delhi-Varanasi-Delhi, Ahmedabad-Goa-Ahmedabad via Mumbai, Ahmedabad-Chennai-Ahmedabad and Kolkata-Guwahati-Kolkata, Hyderabad-Bangalore-Hyderabad) and additional flights on its existing routes of Delhi- Goa-Delhi, Delhi-Guwahati-Delhi, Mumbai-Goa-Mumbai, Ahmedabad-Mumbai-Ahmedabad routes.
All the new sectors and additional flights in coming weeks will start with promotional fares, the airline said in a statement.
At present, the low-cost carrier provides services in 13 markets of Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Goa, Guwahati, Pune, Bangalore, Kolkata, Jammu, Srinagar, Chennai, Hyderabad and Varanasi, utilising modern B737-800 new generation aircraft with an all economy configuration of 189 seats.
