Silver, gold up on better buying support

Mumbai, July 31: Prices of silver and gold rose on better buying support in the opening session today, according to traders at the bullion market.

Following were today's opening rates : Silver (per kg) .999 fineness grade : Rs 18,085, Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity standard mint: : Rs 9,630, Gold 99.9 purity variety : Rs 9,680.
