Shravan holds second seeded IM Laxman
Chennai, July 31 (UNI) Speeded 44th Shravan Kumar Talwar held second seeded International Master R R Laxman in the second round of the sixth Adyar Times new millennium FIDE rated Chess Tournament, here today.
Shravan, a student of Peters Engineering College, Chennai, played an attacking game against Laxman in the King Indian defence game. Laxman tried to comeback from a setback, but could not find a perfect combination and the game ended in a draw after 64 moves.
In another match, Shashank of Tamil Nadu drew with Sudhakar Babu of Indian Bank, playing the Black pieces.
